As the world's leading global brewer, AB InBev partners with growers around the world to produce malt barley, the primary ingredient in beer. Through our flagship program SmartBarley, we are accelerating agricultural innovations that improve crop productivity and enhance grower livelihoods.
Hackathons aren't just for those who can code or own their own soldering iron. We know it takes a solid team with various skill sets to produce the most creative results. We welcome all creative types to our event!

Chief Science Officer, Agrible
Paul Miller is the Chief Science Officer of Agrible, where leads product design and development. Paul received his Bachelors and Masters in Ag. Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his PhD in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Purdue University. His Post-Doc appointment was at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Global Director Innovation & Analytics, AB InBev
Pato Prini is the Global Director of Innovation and Analytics for Anheuser-Busch InBev where he leads our Innovation Labs, responsible for anticipating the future needs of ABI and developing/deploying global capabilities. Pato is based in Palo Alto, CA.
Global Director Agriculture Development, AB InBev
John Rogers is the Global Director of Agricultural Development for Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he leads Global Barley Research - a team of global scientists focused on developing new barley varieties that improve yield, disease resistance and brewing quality. John is based in Leuven, Belgium, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University.
Global Director, Bud Analytics Lab at Anheuser-Busch InBev
Chris Chauvin is the Global Director of the AB InBev Bud Analytics Lab, responsible for driving the creation and delivery of new business capabilities while institutionalizing data-driven decision-making. Chris graduated from Purdue University in 2010 with a bachelors degree in Industrial Management and joined AB InBev in 2011 as a Global Management Trainee. Chris is based in Champaign, IL.
